Before we all turn our attention to Christmas and get lost in a Winter Wonderland I wanted to take one last look at Fall with some of the most fabulous (both traditional, contemporary and unconventional) color palettes for couples considering a wedding at this time of year. Whilst I was a Winter bride myself, if I got the chance to do it all over again, Autumn would be my season of choice. Summer may not always deliver the promised sunshine, Winter the snow, or Spring the seasonal blooms, but there is always something magical about a Fall affair – be it the golden light, the turning leaves or the abundance of berries. So there is no season more beautiful when it comes to weddings, but if you still need convincing maybe one of these will do it…..
Chartreuse & Blush
Shying away from the traditional reds, oranges and burnt yellows, chartreuse and blush is an unusual choice for a fall wedding; and yet they work so perfectly for a garden, winery or barn wedding. Both colors have a delightfully vintage feel and the addition of the burgundy gives gorgeous depth…..

November Skies
As well as being utterly timeless, this dramatic color palette offers more than a hint of masculinity – a nice change to the traditionally feminine wedding hues. So whether you are a gay couple or a bride looking for something a little different, this dark and dusky palette could be perfect for you….

Fall Sunshine
Whilst burnt yellows and oranges are synonymous with Fall, when mixed with soft dove grey they are given a more contemporary twist. The key to this palette and its understated elegance is to layer the greys and whites throughout your day, and go with just pops of the brighter shades.

Dark & Dramatic
I love this unusual mix of colors so much! In theory you would say they shouldn’t work, yet when you see them in this bouquet….. it is clear they do. The lavender and purple are the surprise colors in this palette, whilst the rich mustard yellow and reds couldn’t be more perfect for Fall.

Fall Elegance
It’s easy to have your eye caught and head turned by all of the gorgeous rich shades in fall, but nothing says timeless elegance quite like neutrals, especially when you layer some sparkly metallics! Just add a touch of deep red to hint at your chosen season…..

Fall Leaves
Nothing says Fall quite like the crunch of leaves, and this palette was inspired by that. It is rich and rustic yet still romantic with the addition of a dusky peach. The key to this particular palette is to keep the decor natural, bring the colors into your day with elements from nature such as wood, leather, raw silks, linens and wools.

Jade & Bronze
Choosing an unexpected color for your wedding is one way to wow your guests and make a real style statement, and I thinkJade makes quite the bold (but still beautiful) choice for an Autumn wedding. It is a shade that is too often overlooked or forgotten, yet has a delicate elegance that is perfect for a modern vintage wedding, especially when mixed with a dusky neutral and seasonal bronze.

Sage & Blush
With just a subtle hint of Autumn, this palette is super pretty, as well as versatile in terms of style, setting – and even season really. It has a softness that we don’t always associate with Fall, but I think you will agree is charming, and that would look just as lovely in Spring or Summer.

Glamorously Gothic
I couldn’t do a Fall wedding palette roundup without considering Halloween, and this is an elegant take on an All Hallow’s Eve wedding. Mixing dark, dusky greens and gold with a splash of black, and with no hint of the traditional pumpkin orange, it exudes drama – and would be perfect for the bride looking to be bold and rock a black wedding dress!

Rubies & Rose Gold
Last but not least, this oh-so-feminine and super pretty palette of ruby reds mixed with rose gold…. it is one of my favourites! To keep these colors looking contemporary and chic, mix with a wash of greenery and layer the colors carefully, with only pops of the brightest and darkest shades.
